Who We Are
Atom.com is the original web comedy brand. We helped kick-start the online video industry way back in 1999 as scrappy startup AtomFilms, and today we're a digital comedy network serving an audience of millions, on every platform. As Comedy Central Digital's original programming brand, we're constantly developing new web videos and series, finding incredible talent among our online community of comedians and filmmakers, and distributing funny stuff across the web, on mobile phones, and on television (including the "Atom TV" latenight series).

Digital Content Development
Atom funds and develops dozens of original, exclusive projects each year, including comedy pilots and series, interactive videos, Flash games, and more. Atom original comedies have earned millions of plays, multiple Webby awards, and consideration for on-air development - as an example, the hit Comedy Central series Ugly Americans began its existence as the hit Atom series 5-On. Online Community
Each week, hundreds of sketch groups, comedians, and indie producers enter Atom's World Famous Cash-Money Internet Comedy Tournament, where they can win cash and airtime on Comedy Central's Atom TV. Atom also offers other popular comedy competitions, such as the "Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge," a long-running program offered in partnership with Lucasfilm.
