SAN FRANCISCO, November 16, 2007 — AtomFilms (www.atomfilms.com), a division of Viacom's (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) MTVN Entertainment Group, has released the season finale of Possum Death Spree, its hit web comedy series. Possum Death Spree Episode 3 completes the saga of a group of Alaskan scientists as they battle a strain of ancient, fuzzy and bloodthirsty possums who thawed out with the melting permafrost and now want to do to humans what they did to the dinosaurs.
The series can now be viewed at Atom's Possum Death Spree microsite (www.possumdeathspree.com), where the first two episodes and an online game have already generated almost 1.2 million plays. The series was funded by Atom Studio and created by filmmakers Michael Horowitz and Gareth Smith.
AtomFilms is committed to fighting the consequences of climate change-induced possum infestation and has purchased carbon offsets that make "Possum Death Spree" the first-ever carbon-neutral Web series. 100% of the energy used in this production was offset with the help of 3 Phases Energy Services (http://www.3phases.com).
