  1. Comic-Con II: The Atoming

Last year atom.com popped my nerd-cherry with my very first Comic-con.  It was sensory overload to be sure.   I was bombarded with the sights of sprawling promotional displays, the dull roar of wall-to-wall geeking out over Battlestar Galactica, and the resultant smells from people wearing bulky, poorly ventilated costuming for 7 hours.   The time has come for me to share that stank with you again.

  2. Atom.com Rocked the ‘Con (Comic-Con Roundup)

The Atom team is back from Comic-Con! Our sore throats and hangovers are fading but we still have pics and stories from an awesome weekend in San Diego. We’ve packed our capes and lightsabers away till next year, but here are a few of our favorie memories…

  3. Legend of Neil premieres 2nd Season at Comic-Con: Triforce still in pieces

A horde of 500+ fans packed the premiere of the second season of Legend of Neil Saturday night at Comic-Con. Braving the crowd and lines was well worth it. Creator Sandeep Parikh brought his star studded cast of web- celebs (including Tony Janning (Neil/Link), Felicia Day (fairy), Mike Rose (Old Man/Old Man), and Scott Chernoff (Gannon) to answer questions and be “ducking hilarious”.

  4. Top 10 Green Screen Photos from Comic-Con

Everyone should have a green screen rig. It’s instant gratification. Atom had one going at this year’s Comic-Con over the weekend. A fanboy (or two) could swing on by our booth, pick up a prop sword or lightsaber and become melded within the worlds of Legend of Neil, Star Wars Gangsta Rap, or Operation Olivia. In fact, we generated about 1500 of these suckas in all! Atom: where stars are born.

  5. Fan Films: As American as Star Wars, Olivia Munn, peyote, and pie

Olivia Munn joined Lucasfilm’s Bill Gannon and past Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge winners Trey Stokes (Pink Five), Robert Reeves (Padme), and Chris Crawford (Star Wars Gangsta Rap) on Atom’s fan film panel Saturday night at Comic-Con. And the audience followed, with nearly 500 fans packing the room, many of them “OMFG” members from Munn’s fan club, eager to get a close-up look at their idol, discuss Munn’s well-known love of pie, and find out what the Playboy cover girl is looking for in an Operation Olivia contest pitch.

  6. Star Wars Nerd-vana: George Lucas, Olivia Munn, Seth Green, New Gangsta Rap…

Atom’s Comic-Con team headed for the eighth annual Lucasfilm-Atom Star Wars Fan Movie awards ceremony on Friday night. As always, the Lucas crew packed two or three thousand die-hard Star Wars fans into the big ballroom here at Comic-Con, cheering on the best of the year’s crop of fan films submitted to http://starwars.atom.com.

  7. The Things We Adore … Felicia Day Singing!

This ain’t your momma’s web musical. Felicia Day completes a trifecta of online singing and dancing with an upbeat ditty about … donkey-punches? Check out the brand-new musical episode of Legend of Neil below!

    Our major happenings…

    Friday, 7/24:

STAR WARS FAN MOVIE CHALLENGE AWARDS!

  9. Rabid Robots Running Rampant

It’s funny how mankind’s vision of the future has shifted.  Not too long ago our conceptualization was basically a rehash of The Jetsons: super-skyscrapers, transport via human-sized habitrails, and jetcars propelled by concentric circles.

“Everyone in the future is happy despite the growing Ginger scourge”

It was as charming a notion as it was naive.  Courtesy of bad retreads of Isaac Asimov stories and the Terminator series, we now see how foolish those visions were. The robots are coming.  Sure, some of the robots will be really smoking hot, but is that any reason to welcome our sexy, sexy doom?

  10. Olivia Munn’s fan movies: Coming soon to Atom and Comic-Con

I remember when it was hard to convince action figures to star in my fan films, let alone a real live girl. So imagine my nerdy delight when I showed up for my second day of work here at Atom, and they told me that we’d gotten the queen of geek girls to make Star Wars fan films with us – Olivia Munn!
