Ed Note: This blog post was written by Neil Janowitz (of 12 Angry Mascots), about how Jerry Seinfeld did an unnanounced set during one of his shows, and originally appeared on  Splitsider.com.

I was told at 3:43 in the afternoon, roughly five hours before the scheduled start of 12 Angry Mascots, a sports-comedy show I co-write/produce at Gotham Comedy Club, that Jerry Seinfeld would be doing an unannounced set during our performance. Word came from my writing partner, Scott Rogowsky, who doubles as host of the show. He had been at the venue setting up when Gotham’s GM pulled him aside and told him to clear room in our run list; Jerry wanted to try out some material. (We later learned that he was testing out jokes before appearing on Letterman the following night.)

Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a harvest festival, a time when families gather to give thanks for their many blessings and to appreciate the bounty of their labors. They sit down to a meal together to break bread, to share what they’re grateful for, and, more often than not, to bug the crap out of each other.

In honor of this hallowed day of gravy-induced comas and petty arguments, we present to you a compilation of the weirdest, grossest, most inappropriate family meals to be found here on Atom.

Consider it a holiday gift from our maladjusted family to yours.

The Comics Comic has news that our good buddy Dan Levy, star and creator of the amazing parody of 90s sitcoms Dan Levy’s Laugh Track Mashups, the show that crammed as many sitcoms as possible into a single webseries, is now in business with NBC to develop an actual sitcom.

Today, we bring you the best of both worlds: Daily Br!nk’s chat with some of our favorite Atom video contributors, the guys of Tremendosaur. You not only get an interview, but an excuse (as if you needed one) to review all of their awesome Atom submissions.

Looking for a break from humping space poodles, time-traveling monkeys, and a dude whose best friend is his penis? This video, Punchline Magazine’s interview with stand up veteran Greg Fitzsimmons, is a refreshing change of pace.

We get a glimpse into Greg’s evolution into a successful performer, and it’s not as horrifying a process as one might imagine. While promoting his first book, Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons: Tales of Redemption from an Irish Mailbox, Greg touches on his Irish childhood, his love for Letterman, and the time when he totally hugged Faith Hill. This clip is interesting, illuminating, and startlingly insightful for something you’ll find here on Atom.
