  2. “The House That Drips Blood on Alex” Premieres Tomorrow On Atom TV

It’s no secret that we kind of love Tommy Wiseau around here. Share in our geeky affinity? Then be sure to catch the world premiere of Tommy’s latest flick “The House That Drips Blood on Alex” on Atom TV on Comedy Central Thursday morning (10/14) at 3am/2c.

  3. Tournament Week 25: New Champions

Alright guys, now we’re talking. This week we saw some hefty competition from old veterans and new champs. ScreenTeam was triumphant, yet again, but I think the second and third slots will surprise some people. Hit the jump to see who took home the cash prizes, swag, and the chance to be on Comedy Central. Don’t forget, Absolutely Maniacal was a tourney winner, and look at them now (they’re on the TV).

In other, Tournament related news, I asked you guys to recommend a video to promote on the home page. THEMS Full-length Trailer by ReelsurReal came on full force, with a pretty hilarious video, that’s going to get a little home page promo (ho-pa-pro-mo as it’s known in the biz)  later this week. If you want to your own 15 minutes of fame on the Atom Tournament/Atom.com feed, “like” us to keep tabs on another opportunity to nominate yourself later in the week..

  4. Bill Plympton: Kind Of A Big Deal

Bill Plympton is kind of a big deal around here. I mean, besides being one of our earliest filmmakers (dating back to the late 90′s), he’s also a titan in the indie-animation world, an inspiration to DIY filmmakers, and kind of a genius. In honor of Bill’s new feature film, Angels and Idiots, we’re going to be rolling out a whole mess of awesome interviews (Plympterviews) and special surprises (Plymprises).  To whet your whistle, check out the trailer for his new film.

To check out more of Bill’s work, visit our showcase of classic Plymptoons.

  5. Shout Out: Peniplus

We all know wiener jokes are funny, and that multiple wiener jokes are even funnier, but what about multiple wieners jokes? Rue Brutalia brings a commercial that promises a different sort of growth.

If you think your video deserves some time on the home page, and you’d fancy some Atom swag, check out our facebook page. You’ll stay up to date on special Tournament exclusives and what’s going on in the community. It’s a great place to promote your video too — we’re always looking for stuff to promote!

  6. Congratulations To The Legend Of Neil Pilot For Its 1,000,000th Customer

Just in time for what’s going to be an utterly mind-blowing finale of Legend Of Neil, we’re extremely pleased to congratulate Sandeep, Tony, and everyone on the Legend Of Neil team on the 1,000,000th pageview of the pilot. That’s right, the very first episode of Legend Of Neil has been watched over 1 million times. Even discounting the 100,000 or so times I’m personally responsible, that’s still an amazing feat! If you haven’t already, or you just want to help run up the score watch the episode right now.

Don’t forget the grand finale of Legend Of Neil is going to premiere on October 27th. In the mean time, get caught up with the entire series from the very beginning here.

  7. Tournament Week 24: Fat Kids Pay The Bills

Alright, guys, this week we saw David Ward win, yet again. Some of you have voiced disbelief that David could possibly come up with the 9k + plays it took to win this week’s Tournament. While it’s really awesome to see the community growing over on our facebook page, the biggest topic of discussion as of late, is David’s repeated successes. You all want to know how he does it, week after week. That’s why I’m starting a blog series called How To Win, wherein I’ll illustrate exactly how a winning Tournament contender took home the purse. Hit the jump to check out who took home the other two slots (and some cash), and to see exactly how David Ward earned his cool five-hundo this week.

  8. Munchie The Agent Starts Online Feud With Atom.com

In an effort to manipulate an ongoing legal dispute between Atom.com and Munchie The Agent, Munchie has illegally released a video from his upcoming series on his facebook feed. The video has sparked an uproar on both sides of the argument. Though Munchie was not pleased with the way he was depicted in the series, the right to release and distribute said videos remains ours.

We have issued the following statement regarding the matter:

On behalf of Atom.com, I’d like to issue an apology to our fans, as recent events by a client of ours, (Munchie the Agent) may have reflected negatively upon our company. We apologize for his actions, though we are not responsible for his outbursts online or elsewhere. Munchie has proven himself out of control, and his attempt to provoke and antagonize our employees has made everyone look bad. Please do not encourage him and please do not spread his slander.

Thank you for understanding during these trying times. Again, we apologize that this dispute was aired in such a public way.

  9. Operation Olivia Cancelled

You may remember the “Operation Olivia” program we announced in 2009, in which Olivia Munn asked fans to pitch ideas for new Star Wars fan films. Unfortunately, the final phase of the program has been canceled due to scheduling problems. We will not be able to move forward with production of the concept Olivia selected, Galaxy News. We are speaking with the creative team behind that pitch to find another project to develop together.

  10. How To Be Tight, Wizzer, And The Axe “One Night Only” Concert Series

Boy does Weezer love the internet (and Lost, apparently). To promote their new album and tour, they teamed up with a bunch of internet superstars, including our very own friends, Magic Hugs. When Weezer played a secret show last week in the tightest place in the world LA, they took a little time to hang with our bro Chazz from How To Be Tight (SIIIICKKKK).

Check out their dope appearance on How To Be Tight: episode 3, check out the album in stores, and spec some exclusive concert footage from their secret show sponsored by AXE! Andrew went to the show, and he doesn’t smell terrible anymore!
