  2. Take A Peek Into Julie Klausner’s Colorful Psyche

You may recognize best-selling author and comedienne Julie Klausner as the star of our Cat Whisperer series, in which she bares her soul to help those of the demented feline persuasion. Want to know a little bit more about the woman behind the weird whispers? How about a glimpse into her typical day:

3:30 PM: Cry in the shower, thinking about how Entenmann’s used to sell that fat free devil’s food loaf thing and now they don’t. Cheer up when I realize I could use that in a funny bit! I’ll have to tell everyone I had that idea in the shower, when they’re too shy to ask later how it was I got my idea. I never consider whether or not they’d like to picture me naked. I’ll also tell them about dreams I had!

You can get a full rundown of her quirky comings and goings in her latest piece for SplitSider. Check it out here, and when you’re done with that, why don’t you go ahead and watch some Cat Whisperer?

  3. As Close To An Oscar As We’ll Get

Today, that gold-plated man nodded his thumb-sized head in a whole buncha directions. What does that mean for Atom? An excuse to post some Black Swan schtuff!

  4. Second (And Final) Chicago SketchFest Selection Announced

Chicago SketchFest wrapped up this weekend in Chicago, but not before our second selection, “Womb Treats”, rolled for the audience. Congrats to creators Monsters from the Id who scored 500 big ones AND got to see their submission on the big screen:

  5. Thanksgiving Is A Time For (Dysfunctional) Family

Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a harvest festival, a time when families gather to give thanks for their many blessings and to appreciate the bounty of their labors. They sit down to a meal together to break bread, to share what they’re grateful for, and, more often than not, to bug the crap out of each other.

In honor of this hallowed day of gravy-induced comas and petty arguments, we present to you a compilation of the weirdest, grossest, most inappropriate family meals to be found here on Atom.

Consider it a holiday gift from our maladjusted family to yours.

  7. The Legend Of Neil Finale Screening

It’s with much pride, excitement, and a little sorrow, that we screened the epic finale to our blockbuster series, The Legend Of Neil moments ago in downtown LA. The cast, crew and fans gathered to give Neil and the gang one final toast, and throw one hell of a party. We watched the finale for a great series, drank a few beers with the cast,  and listened to Felicia Day talk about her “lady junk” on stage. It’s a night none of us will forget. Now, before this post goes full-blown-wedding-toast, take a look at our behind the scenes peak of the screening and after party.

We’ll have a slew of professional photos tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are some guerrilla photos from tonight’s festivities.

The line of eager fans started hours before the screening. People flew in from Oregon, Seattle, and Philadelphia.
