  1. Voting Closed For Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge “Audience Choice Award”

Yes, the voting period may be over, but the grand finale of the 2011 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge is just around the corner!

We’ll be announcing the awards live at Comic Con and here on the blog soon thereafter, so come check back to see if you scored any honors.

Have patience with us during this process please, because “always in motion is the future,” and boy can that get exhausting!

  2. Some Of Our Favorite Atom Stuff From 2010

As we count down the minutes to 2011 in the almost eerily quiet Atom offices, we thought we’d take a quick moment to present an extremely incomplete list of some of the great things we did in 2010. From the finale of our biggest series, Legend Of Neil, to narrowly avoiding a Tommy Wiseau-inspired riot at Comic-Con, to the launch of the Tournament, things got a little nuts this year, and here are just a few of our favorite things that happened.

  3. Tournament Winners Week 16: Screen Team-age

Hey guys! I’m back from band camp (for real) and ready for some funny videos! Though I had a great week of music and campfires, I really, really missed the Tournament (and all Andrew’s snide remarks about being a camp counselor). How did it go? From the looks of our top ten, pretttttty great. The Screen Team rounded out another week as the top winner, proving that cute girls and comic books are still a winning combo. Hit the jump for the rest of the winners, and the top three videos!

  4. Look At All These ‘Legend Of Neil’ Extras

    Hey Neilos!

    Zeldiacs?

Anyway, fans of Legend Of Neil. Are you enjoying season 3 so far? It’s only going to get more and more amazing, starting next week, with the premiere of episode 302, The Gloffice. We’ll be rolling out new episodes every other week until October, with special videos from Sandeep and the cast during off weeks. This week we featured:

  5. Comic-Con Choice Cuts

Comic-Con was a wild ride filled with nerds waiting in line, after hours drinking (with nerds) and listening to nerds speak about their latest projects. What I’m saying is, it was nerdy. Here now, for those of you who didn’t care to brave the hordes of hungry fans, is a best-of mix tape of the Atom team’s adventures in Comic-Con-ing.

We arrived midday Wednesday to load in. As I pondered our nacho cheese supply, the floor was opened, and the Con was on! Check out the rest of our preview day adventuring.

Friday, the first full day of the convention, we were visited by Tommy Wiseau himself, protested by Westboro Baptist Church, and I discovered the best place to meet ladies.Saturday, the Legend of Neil crew came by to sign some autographs before we hosted our two panels.

First, we gave everyone a sneak peek of the first two episodes of The Legend of Neil to a packed house. The whole cast and crew were in attendance, and the crowd was crazy for them.

The House That Drips Blood On Alex premiered immediately after Neil to a standing ovation. The star of the film, Tommy Wiseau, was in rare form that evening.

  6. Comic-Con Day Four Roundup: The Final Day

Because of limited computer connectivity to the “Internet” from the Comic-Con show floor, get our latest updates at the Atom Twitter or right here on the Atom Blog. See the full schedule of Atom events right here.

After all the excitement that Saturday held, I think we were hoping for a mellow, typical day to wrap things up. Sunday is kid’s day, after all, how bad could it be? Maybe I’ll even have time to check out the YO GABBA GABBA! panel. WRONG.

We still had a ton of posters, bags, playing cards, and masks to hand out and after the smash-hit screenings of The Legend of Neil and The House That Drips Blood On Alex, demand was even higher.

    It’s a feeding frenzy!

After handing out our last few posters depicting a raunchy 90′s nostalgia ridden web series and cult filmmakers covered in blood to doe-eyed children, we packed up and headed home.

    See you next year, nerds!

If you missed out on all the crowded, nerd-tastic action at Comic Con, check out the rest of our coverage, or, just take a look at the new episodes of The Legend of Neil, live now on Atom.

  7. Comic-Con Day Three Roundup: The Big Day

Because of limited computer connectivity to the “Internet” from the Comic-Con show floor, get our latest updates at the Atom Twitter or right here on the Atom Blog. See the full schedule of Atom events right here.

Oh boy. Day three of Comic-Con was amazing, with all of our panel talent gathering throughout the day at the Atom Booth as we prepped for our back to back screenings of the premiere of Season 3 of Legend Of Neil and The House That Drips Blood On Alex.

But before that we managed to relax a little bit with our friend, the Shoeless Stormtrooper:

    and the Pirate Band:

    As Matt tweeted:
Every other weekend this pirate band makes less sense. #AtomAtComicCon

Then, between making probably too many space marine related jokes on the Atom Twitter, it was just chaos at the booth. The lovely and seriously lovely co-star of The House That Drips Blood On Alex, iJustine stopped by the booth and tried a Tommy Wiseau mask on for size.

Then, as 7:30 approached, the line outside room 7AB started to form for the premiere of Legend Of Neil! Check out the recap right now of Season 2, to get caught up, cause Season 3 premieres tomorrow!

The panelists, series creator Sandeep Parikh, Tony Janning (Neil), Felicia Day (Fairy), Angie Hill (Zelda), Mike Rose (Old Man), Eric Acosta (Wizrobe), and Scott Chernoff (Ganon) line up with moderator Alex Albrecht from The Totally Rad Show for the premiere.

The fans in attendance got to see the first and second episodes of Season 3, with Neil taking the plunge back into Hyrule in the premiere episode and Ganon and Wizrobe plotting how to get Neil once and for all in episode 302. The Q&A was hilarious, with a great appearance from a hilarious special guest, the shield eating Like Like from the series.

And it went from one packed house to the next, as Tommy Wiseau and gang rolled in for The House That Drips Blood On Alex. The screening was absolutely bonkers, as the trailer would suggest:

People even showed up ready to rock with their Tommy Wiseau masks. Stop by the Atom Booth, 3445, today if you still want one!

The screening was bonkers, with moderator (and co-star) Joey Greco, and co-stars Justine Ezarik, and Alex creators Brock LaBorde, Jared Richard, Chris Trew (Studio 8) doing their best to contain and control the force of nature that is Tommy Wiseau. Afterwards, there was a minor league mob scene as Tommy signed autographs in the main hall.

For everyone who was unfortunate enough to miss this screening, The House That Drips Blood On Alex isn’t going to premiere on Comedy Central until closer to Halloween, but we’re looking into the possibility of doing an additional screening before then, so keep checking the blog for updates.

And now we’re back to the floor, keep up on the Atom Twitter for more updates, or right here at the blog.

  8. The Cast Of ‘Legend Of Neil’ Came To Visit At Comic-Con

Because of limited computer connectivity to the “Internet” from the Comic-Con show floor, get our latest updates at the Atom Twitter or right here on the Atom Blog. See the full schedule of Atom events right here.

Lots of the cast of Legend Of Neil stopped by the booth today at Comic-Con to sign autographs and meet the fans! While we waited for everyone to arrive, some enterprising fans decorated the masks of Neil and Fairy.

  9. Comic-Con Day Two Roundup: Sleepy Batman

Because of limited computer connectivity to the “Internet” from the Comic-Con show floor, get our latest updates at the Atom Twitter or right here on the Atom Blog. See the full schedule of Atom events right here.

It’s been another hard day at Comic Con for the Atom crew. Giving away awesome swag, hosting autograph signings, and keeping you all updated with snarky tweets can really take it out of you. Though, we aren’t the only ones exhausted after a long day at the Con.

Even Batman needs some down time. They look so peaceful when they’re sleeping.*

A highlight of today was a visit from the Legend Of Neil Crew! They stopped by to sign some posters and mingle with their devoted fans.

We also had visits from the Ninja Babes From Space

and Chewbacca! Andrew took the time to marvel at this young man’s attention to detail on Twitter today.

Later in the day I finally had some time to walk the floor. Good thing too, otherwise I would’ve missed my favorite Street Fighter, Zangif!

Why hasn’t Spike done a Deadliest Warrior on Street Fighter II? Get on it, bros!

Outside the convention hall was just as crazy as inside.

Looks like Syfy has partenered with Pixar for an UP! sequel (JK you guys, those are just two poor girls tied to giant balloons)

After that, I went to the TRON Legacy experience down town. I waited in line for 45 minutes to check this thing out. They lead you through an old arcade facade, down some hallways, and into this TRON room, which is pretty cool, but also felt a lot more like a Disco than being inside a video game world.

I kept worrying that Flynn was trying to roofie me.

  10. Comic-Con Day One Roundup: Your New Body-Pillow Girlfriend

Because of limited computer connectivity to the “Internet” from the Comic-Con show floor, get our latest updates at the Atom Twitter or right here on the Atom Blog. See the full schedule of Atom events right here.

The first day of Comic Con started off with a bang.. for me at least. I had the morning shift. Andrew, “somehow” managed to get the afternoon shift (we knew he wouldn’t show up otherwise).

After a little exploring, I discovered a great place to meet women.
If you ever want a Japanese body pillow girlfriend, I found the BEST place to meet them!

When I ran out to pick up some lunch I found out that God hates, signs, the Joker, the final 12 Cylons, AND Comic Con (according to the worst people ever, [the Westboro Baptist Church] and a bunch of anti-protesters).

The Westboro Baptist (Internet Confirmed) Hate Mongers

THEN, when my day couldn’t be any less freak-filled, Tommy Wiseau himself came by the Atom booth for to sign posters in promotion of his new Atom project, The House That Drips Blood On Alex.

Tommy Wiseau, HTDBOA Director Brock LaBorde, and an enthusiastic fan

To stay abreast of all the awesome signings, swag give-aways, and special treats, be sure to follow us on Twitter, and here on the blog. And don’t forget, the Atom screening extravaganza is Saturday night. Come by if you’re in town (at 7:30 in hall 7AB) or fly in to stay up to date on all the awesome Legend Of Neil fun!
