Our friend Scott Chernoff, remixes pop-culture weirdness (and makes it even weirder) in his new blog series: Smash’d.
I’m so psyched for the new TV season. The new “Survivor” looks awesome, but some people say they’re taking the whole “Old vs. Young” thing a little too far. Remember when “Survivor” divided people by race? That was nothing compared to this. Check out this new promo I saw on TV.
Here’s the thing about the seductive lure of advertising. Between the Old Spice Guy, the Most Interesting Man In The World, and now Kenny Powers doing K-Swiss ads, we have to probably admit, it’s a great time to be a 18-34 (just kidding it’s always great to be 18-34). If you haven’t already seen it, check out the original Funny Or Die Clip:
Say what you will about infotainment (that’s still a word, right?) this covers a lot of pretty effective and hilarious ground. As loathe as we are to say it, we’re looking forward to seeing the rest of these videos.
We’re really excited to have a new video from hilarious author and comedian Julie Klausner, who’s book I Don’t Care About Your Band is being developed by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell’s team for a little cable channel known as HBO. Our friend Max Silvestri had a quick chat with Julie about books, cats, and her video, The Cat Whisperer
Backstage at the Axe Twisted humor tour, Andrew and I sat down with Nick Kroll and Donald Glover to talk internet videos and bank statements. Besides being seasoned stand-ups, both of these guys have impressive lists of videos across the web, and we knew they’d have some great advice for you up-and-comers. They dropped some wisdom that night, and we captured it on video just for you!
Besides being aweseome filmmakers, they’re both amazing stand ups (um, of course). They’re touring alongside the equally talented Chelsea Peretti and Whitney Cummings. Be sure to check them out in a town near you.

We got to go to a big stand-up show last week here in Los Angeles, for the opening leg of the Axe Twist Presents Twisted Humor Tour Brought To You By Funny Or Die. Ok, so kind of a long name. Fine. But we understand, this is America in the 21st Century, sometimes you need just that many people to pull together an insane lineup of Nick Kroll, Whitney Cummings, Donald Glover and Chelsea Peretti. It’s kind of like if they made a Harlem Globetrotters for stand-up comedy, but basketball was only played with 4 people. Oh, and if the team was mostly white.
We’ll have interviews with each of the comics coming soon, but for now, check out this video they made for the tour and some pictures from the show!
I had to watch this video three times in a row before I could digest how much I love it. When something this perfect comes across your desk, there isn’t much more you can add to the conversation. Patton Oswalt as Dr. Demento? Pure Joy. I guess the Team Tiger Awesome guys were right, this video didblow my dick off.
It’s a fun week at Atom when we get to work with some of our favorite comedians, and if you check our respective facebook profiles, Nick Kroll definitely qualifies. He’s got a new video out this week with one of my favorite characters, Bobby Bottleservice (I had to check if the surname Bottleservice was one word or two), auditioning for Jersey Shore.
