The time has finally come for the SECOND annual Streamy Awaaaaaaaards!

Tune in right here to check in on all the internet glitz and glamor all on a tiny, tiny screen April 11 at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET. Will Legend of Neil come out on top? We’ll see. But remember, you can continue to vote in the audience choice awards up until the announcement of the award…

Legend of Neil creator Sandeep Parikh recently appeared on Electric Playground to talk about Neil’s nomination for the Streamy Awards (go and vote now for Neil for Audience Choice, by the way). Check out the interview!

Though it’s clear to anyone whose been paying attention that there’s already a clear winner for next year’s Streamy awards, this years’ winners aren’t so obvious. Hopes are high here at Atom.com that our home-town champs, The Legend of Neil pull through with a few trophies. Overall Series, Directing, and Writing all sound nice.

Some of you may remember that LoN is up for the audience choice award. You can continue to vote once a day up until the day of the awards, so help make our boys the winners we know they are!

Exciting news, friends! Hometown heroes, The Legend Of Neil guys are nominated for the 2010 Streamy Audience Choice Award. Unlike the other categories, the Audience Choice Awards are determined online by audience voters. Anyone can vote once a day until the the award is announced April 11th, live at the Streamys. If you love The Legend of Neil, then please vote for them!

Time to dust off Grandpa’s tux, cuz Atom is going to the Streamys! That’s right, a bunch of Atom creators are nominated for Streamys, the web’s premiere awards show. Remember back when we asked you guys to nominate your favorite videos? Well, it paid off!  Thanks to your help, some of your favorite shows are now finalists.  Out of thousands of submissions, and hundreds individual shows, the top five were narrowed down by the IAWTV. Indeed, we’re very proud of all the nominations. ..

It’s the most wonderful time of the year everyone; Streamy season, the most prestigious web-show-awards-ceremony around. It’s sort of like the Oscars for web-series. There are all the categories you’d expect: Best Comedy series, Best Actor… you get the idea.

Unlike other hoity-toity awards shows, anyone can nominate their favorite web show for free. There’s no need to be in any Academy or Association of Press, so what are you waiting for?

Seriously though, nominating your favorite shows (on Atom or otherwise) is a great way to help them gain exposure. The more exposure those shows get, the more successful they’ll become, and the more likely their creators will be compelled (and able) to make more of episodes.  For starters, you should take a look at our top 10 videos of 2009.

The Legend of Neil guys have even whipped up this helpful ballot, enumerating every possible category they’re eligible for (way to take the moblin by the horns).

Also, wouldn’t it be hilarious if some web-celeb was forced to utter, “and the winner is… Hot Sluts”?  In some sense Hot Sluts always win.

It’s not as dirty as it sounds, really… Our very own Legend of Neil series is up for an ‘Audience Choice’ award in this year’s Streamys. So please head on over and vote for the only Web series brave enough to examine the social stigma surrounding hot elf on fairy romance.

We don’t really know what these “Academy Awards” are, but we’re pretty sure no one cares about them. The event everyone is talking about this year is The Streamy Awards: a celebration of excellence in web television. By now you’ve probably noticed that we have a few original series here on Atom that kick all sorts of ass. What better way to demonstrate your love for your favorite Atom series than by nominating it for a Streamy!

Nominations close Friday January 23,  2009 at 11:59 PM (PST) so hurry up and get yours in!

Perhaps Stickman Exodus is your favorite Comedy Web Series, with its simple yet effective portrayal of the stabbing, hanging, maiming and disembowling of innocent stick figures. Maybe the subtle comedic stylings of Tom Lenk in  Border Patrol inspire you to nominate him for Best Comedic Actor. Or perhaps Brit McAdams’ skillfully crafted awkwardness in Great Moments in Human Interaction is more favorable to your discerning palate of comedy writing. You might enjoy Sandeep Parikh’s direction of Legend of Neil, which taught us all important lessons about racial tolerance and casual sex with fairies.

Go ahead, we’ve got plenty of series to choose from. Nominate them for a Streamy, and make the world a better place.
