Within the frame work of a kick butt adventure series with vampires, were-creatures, ghouls and lizard people, Sam and her family learn that they truly need each other to make it past the pit falls and dangers of a world filled with monsters. The autobiographical part appears in the story of Kris Kayn, the childrens father, and each of their reactions to his death. News of his death is somewhat premature, however, as he's now become a vampire...
