Atom.com is the place for funny videos, animation, flash games, humor, free videos, and comedy online.
When content is uploaded to Atom, it immediately appears on the site as a "User Video." Our top User Videos, as identified by the Atom staff and/or the audience (see Upload Showdown) get upgraded to "Pro Video" status.
Some clips start out with "Pro" status if they've been developed in-house or licensed by our staff. All "Pro" videos, animation, and games receive royalty share payments, distribution to other media partners (in some cases airing on Atom TV on Comedy Central), and extra exposure on Atom.com.

We've paid out millions and millions (yes, millions) of dollars through our innovative revenue sharing program, the first of its kind in the industry. A portion of Atom's gross advertising revenue is set aside for payments to Pro Video creators every quarter. The money is distributed on a pro rata basis, meaning that creators of the most popular videos earn proportionately more money than creators of less popular videos. The specific payouts fluctuate based on our quarterly revenue, but as an example, in Q4 2007, Atom creators earned about $8 in revenue share for every 1,000 content plays.
We're distributing Atom content everywhere — on the Web, mobile phones, iPods, Xboxes, etc — with Pro Video creators getting another rev share. And Atom TV (our weekly series on Comedy Central) gives Pro Video creators a great shot at the mainstream exposure.
Atom.com (formerly AtomFilms) helped pioneer the online video industry back in 1999. Since then we've earned more than our share of industry honors (including Webby Award recognition) and an audience of millions of people looking for new original entertainment. Uploads that make the leap to Pro Video status are showcased prominently on the Atom.com site, alongside other hand-picked titles from established creators and talented new phenoms.
We're funding dozens of Atom Original videos and web series with creators who have proven themselves on Atom or elsewhere. And since we're working in partnership with the development execs at Comedy Central, you can bet that these projects and their creators get a close look for TV development potential.
