For many founders and entrepreneurs purchasing a premium domain for the first time, this lack of reference points can create uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help address this, we\u2019re introducing a new feature on Atom domain landing pages: <strong>Comparable Sales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Are Comparable Sales?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this new feature, buyers can click <strong>Comparable Sales<\/strong> directly from a domain\u2019s landing page to view a small set of similar domains that previously sold on the Atom marketplace within a <strong>comparable<\/strong> price range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-1024x671.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-1024x671.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-768x503.png 768w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-720x472.png 720w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-580x380.png 580w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2-320x210.png 320w, https:\/\/www.atom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-2.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These comparable domains are selected using a combination of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>semantic similarity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>brand structure analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pricing relevance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to provide helpful context without overwhelming buyers with too much data. By showing a curated set of relevant marketplace sales, buyers can better understand how a domain\u2019s pricing fits within the broader market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Running as an A\/B Experiment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with many product improvements on Atom, this feature is being introduced as an <strong>A\/B experiment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all domain landing pages will show comparable sales, and not all buyers will see the feature during this testing period. This allows us to evaluate how the feature affects real buyer behavior compared to a control group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the coming months, we will monitor the impact on key marketplace metrics such as <strong>buyer engagement and sell-through rate (STR)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the data shows that comparable sales help buyers make decisions with greater confidence, we may expand the feature further. If not, we will continue refining the approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seller Control<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We recognize that some sellers may prefer not to display comparable sales alongside their domain listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, sellers have the option to <strong>opt out of showing comparable sales<\/strong> from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atom.com\/marketplace\/settings\/selling\">Marketplace settings page<\/a>.
