Introducing “Track Price” — A Smarter Way to Spot Buyer Intent

We’ve just launched a new feature that we’re really excited about: Track Price.

On the surface, it might seem like a small addition. But it opens up a new layer of visibility into who’s actually paying attention to your domains and gives you the tools to act on that interest in a meaningful way.

So, what is Track Price?

Buyers can now choose to track the price of a domain they like. When they do, they’ll get notified if the price changes or even if a scheduled price change is coming.

It’s different from a Shortlist. A shortlist is a quiet bookmark.

Track Price, on the other hand, is an explicit opt-in. It means:
“Hey, I’m watching this domain, keep me posted.”

Why it matters for sellers

This gives sellers something we’ve all wanted for a while: a warm list of buyers who are actively engaged.

With Track Price, sellers can:

☑️ See how many buyers are tracking each domain
☑️ View the country of each tracker
☑️ Filter your dashboard to show only tracked domains
☑️ Apply discounts or schedule future price increases

And here’s something else. We’ll also show buyers how many other people are tracking the same name. That social proof alone can create urgency and drive faster decisions.

Best Practices: Getting the most out of it

Here are a few things to keep in mind when using Track Price:

Don’t jump straight to deep discounts
It might feel tempting to offer a big drop right after someone tracks a name. But often, a small discount is enough to create movement without lowering perceived value too much.

Try a scheduled price increase instead
For strong domains with ongoing interest, scheduling a price increase can actually work better than a discount. It builds urgency and gives buyers a reason to act before the price goes up.

Leverage social signals
Now that buyers can see if others are tracking the same domain, that alone can move the needle. Combine that with a scheduled increase, and you might not need to discount at all.

Watch where the interest is coming from
You’ll be able to see the country of each tracker. If you start noticing multiple buyers from a particular region, that’s a strong signal and worth paying attention to.

Let it build
In some cases, doing nothing right away might be the best move. Let the tracker count grow. That momentum becomes a powerful tool, especially as we start rolling out AI-powered pricing automation in future phases.

What’s next?

This is just Phase 1.

Right now, sellers can take action manually. Adjust prices, schedule changes, and monitor tracker activity. But in future updates, our goal is to let AI do some of that work for you.

If you have enabled Auto Pilot Discounts for your portfolio, we will automatically apply discount to a small percent of your portfolio each week and notify all buyers who are tracking prices.

The system will be able to detect patterns and trigger price moves automatically based on real-time buyer signals and engagement data.

In short

Track Price gives buyers a way to stay in the loop and gives sellers the context they need to make smarter, better-timed moves.

We’re excited to see how you use it. And as always, your feedback will help shape what comes next.
