When you choose to pay for a domain in installments, the length of the plan and dollar amount of the monthly payments are provided before purchase. With plans longer than 12 months, there’s a monthly surcharge.

Same Day Transfer

Once you buy a domain, ownership has to be transferred to you. To do this, you need to make an account with a domain registrar if you don’t already have one, and move the domain there. 

If the registrar of your choice is the one where the domain is currently parked (NameCheap to NameCheap, for example), the Atom team will initiate the transfer in-house. They’ll usually do this on the day you request it, or, occasionally, the next day. Transfers within a single registrar are usually completed in just a few hours, although the actual duration varies somewhat and is in the hands of the registrar once it’s been initiated by us. 

If you’re transferring to a new registrar (NameCheap to GoDaddy, for example), our Transfer Team will send you an EPP Code, also known as an Authorization Code, which you’ll then give to your new registrar. We aim to get you this code ASAP, and it’s usually with customers within a few minutes to a couple of hours. 

Transfers between two registrars can take 5-7 days, so staying with the registrar where a domain is currently parked is almost always the quickest option. That being said, you can send your new domain to a different registrar with no qualms about delivery as we guarantee it as part of our 100% Purchase Protection Guarantee.
