Low Upfront Cost
A capital-efficient way to secure your brand from day one. Skip the big upfront hit, preserve your runway, and pay a simple flat monthly rent for as long as you use the domain.
Begin Using Immediately
Start using the domain as soon as your first rental payment clears.* You'll have full control over DNS settings, name servers, email, and everything else.
*Once payment is verified and the domain is moved into Atom's Registrar Holding Account.
Cancel Anytime
Plans change. If you no longer need the domain, cancel your rental and billing stops. No long-term commitment.
Control and Flexibility
The domain is yours to use for as long as you want it. The seller can't cancel. Your Buy-It-Now price is locked in, even as the domain appreciates in value. And your rent stays predictable year over year, with only modest adjustments. Keep renting as long as it makes sense, or buy whenever you're ready.
Your first month's rent. Billed monthly after that.

Yes — and this is one of the biggest advantages of renting through Atom. You may purchase the domain at any time during your rental. Your purchase price is locked in at the original BIN price from the day you started renting, even as domain values rise over time. To purchase, simply initiate a buyout from your account dashboard. Standard Atom marketplace commission applies at the time of purchase, and ownership transfers to you upon payment completion. Example purchase scenario — Domain BIN price at rental start: $45,000 (your locked purchase price); Marketplace commission (15%): $6,750; Rent payments made: not applied toward purchase price.
No. Rent payments are premium access fees, exclusivity fees, and operational flexibility fees — not installment payments toward ownership. This is not a lease-to-own arrangement. If you decide to buy, you pay the locked-in BIN price at the time of purchase, regardless of how many months you have rented. This structure keeps the model fair and sustainable for all parties, and clearly differentiates renting from purchasing.
To protect all parties, the domain remains under Atom-managed registrar control throughout the rental period: you receive full DNS / nameserver management access; the seller retains technical ownership until a full purchase is completed; Atom holds the domain in its managed registrar environment; and ownership transfers only after a completed purchase transaction. If rent payments stop, your rental terminates, DNS access may be suspended, and the domain returns to the seller's marketplace inventory.
Yes. Autopay is required for all domain rentals to ensure continuous exclusivity and uninterrupted DNS access. You can update your payment method at any time from your account dashboard.
If payment is not received by the due date, a grace period begins. If payment (plus a 5% late surcharge) is not received within 10 days of the due date, Atom reserves the right to suspend your DNS access and terminate the rental agreement. The domain will then return to the seller's marketplace inventory.
No. Once your rental begins, the domain is removed from the marketplace and the seller cannot list or sell it to any other buyer. Your exclusivity is fully guaranteed for the duration of your rental agreement.
Your monthly rent rate increases by 5% annually on your rental anniversary date. However, your purchase option price (the original BIN price) remains locked forever — it will never increase, even as the domain's market value grows.
Yes. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, DNS access is deactivated, the domain returns to the seller's inventory, and no further charges are made. Rent payments already made are non-refundable.
Any lawful business or personal purpose — building a website, running email, marketing campaigns, and so on. You may not sell, transfer, sublicense, or assign the domain or your rental rights to any third party.
No. Monthly rent payments are non-refundable. They represent the access and exclusivity rights granted to you for that month.
If your rental ends without a completed purchase, you agree not to assert trademark rights against the seller or any future purchaser based on the domain name. Any trademark incorporating the domain must be assigned to the seller, or you must grant the seller a perpetual, royalty-free license.
Yes. Atom maintains the right to suspend DNS settings if the domain is used for illegal activity, fraud, abuse, or any violation of Atom's Terms of Service. Neither Atom nor the seller is liable for content published by the renter.
Domain renting is initially available for Atom-managed domains where the seller has opted in. Ultra-high-value domains may require additional seller approval. Look for the "Rent" button on a domain listing — if visible, the domain is available.
No. Atom acts solely as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator. The domain rental program is a digital access and licensing arrangement between buyers and sellers. Atom is not a leasing company, lender, or financial services provider.
