I am incredibly excited to announce our latest feature – Hands-free AI Listing & Merchandising experience. This is a significant milestone for us, and it represents the culmination of months of hard work by our engineering and branding team.

With this new feature, our AI will automatically detect relevant possible uses for your domains, write a description, identify emotions, big ideas & associated keywords and also generate relevant lifestyle images for your domains! Just submit your domains, and within a few hours the domain listing will be fully optimized to maximize the exposure and discovery by relevant buyers. 

At its core, Hands-free merchandising is an AI-powered system but it is much more than a basic GPT3 implementation; we have combined a massive amount of internal signals and insights with cutting-edge AI technology to make this happen.

We expect that more than 80% of domains will no longer require any manual classification by sellers. Our system will take care of all the heavy lifting, leaving sellers free to focus on what they do best – investing in domains.

While this will result in substantial time savings to sellers, the real benefit lies in the discovery improvements. Since the names will be tagged with specific use cases, keywords and big ideas, it will allow buyers to discover names much more easily for their specific use case.

For example, consider the domain OriginalExtracts.com where our AI has automatically identified the specific and broad uses as below.

If a prospective buyer is looking to name a Herbal Supplement brand that evokes purity, they will now be able to easily discover this type of name. In the past, sellers would have listed this type of domain under broad categories like “Health and Wellness,” making it challenging for buyers to find the most relevant name for their specific use cases and search keywords.

How to use this feature?

This feature is already live in Beta, and you can begin to see the automatic AI classifications by clicking on any domain from your Marketplace Listings page. The feature is available for both Premium and Standard Listings (as long as the name servers point to SH).

You no longer need to manually assign a primary category, or possible uses for your domains. Our system will automatically handle it for you. However you will still have the ability to make adjustments. For example, it is possible that in some cases our AI may miss the specific use cases that you had in mind. In that case, click the “Regenerate” button and in your words, provide some additional context. Our AI will automatically learn based on that context and regenerate the relevant use cases for your domain.

We also plan to scan the already live listings and automatically assign additional use cases and big ideas so that the entire platform is optimized for relevant discovery. Since there is massive amount of data involved, it will likely take few weeks for existing listings to be fully optimized.

Our search and AI recommendation technologies will start using this data in the coming days, in order to improve the relevance and discovery.

What’s Next?

This feature is a significant step in our goal to push the boundaries of what is possible. We have a very exciting roadmap ahead of us and I can’t wait to share more updates in the near future.
